The border represents delimitation. It is an emphasized line to create a paradox of the inside and outside of the wall. Without borders, nothing can comprehensively exist. The Citadel scheme is created as the idea to extract the introspective attribute where the inside view breaks down barriers and encourages creativity meshing ideologies, thoughts, and theories through the interaction of designers, architects, artists, and people how have an opinion to share. The building is designed with multiple interior and exterior stages.
In general, the interior design creates a spherical education, a concept adapted to explain the interaction of people on a regular basis sharing the same workspace are intended to adapt the same behavior of the people around them. The exterior design shows a strong character as a reflection of the urban profile in the downtown area. This zone is in constant development, which translates as a free design area where the building will become part of the growing process.
The project is developed in two phases. Phase one and two grow along the boundaries of the site following the context profile, at the same time will enclosure public space between SIC-Arc. The geometry will follow the context but at the same time, the shape itself will have specific moments of discontinuity with the purpose to create interest and give interiority hints. The conceptualization of the program is creating an educational model focused on the auditorium with the possibility to host a large audience to engage conversation, which is one of the most important values of SCI-Arc.
